For any copyright, please send me a message.  A 14-year-old New Jersey boy drowned after falling through the ice at a pond in his hometown — just hours after another Jersey teenager slipped under another pond and died in a separate incident.  David Tillberg, of Carteret, NJ, fell through the ice at Carteret Park Thursday and remained in the frigid water for about an hour before he was pulled from the frozen pond, according to a report by nj.com. see also Teen dies after falling through pond ice in New Jersey A 13-year-old boy drowned on Wednesday after falling through an…  He was rushed to University Hospital in Newark, where he was pronounced dead at 3:11 a.m. Thursday, the news report said.  “Our small community is saddened and shocked over this tragedy,” Carteret Mayor Dan Reiman said in a statement. “We take solace in knowing that our emergency services responded and did all they could in an attempt to rescue him.”  Tillberg was one of two boys who were crossing the pond, but the other boy pulled himself out.  “I can’t being to tell you how distraught we all are,” the dead boy’s uncle said on a gofundme.com page set up by the family Thursday. “He was the nicest and funniest person I’ve ever known with a smile that was everything. He loved to sing and he was kind of shy about it.”  The teen’s death came hours after a 13-year-old boy drowned after falling through the ice on a pond in New Brunswick about 5 p.m.  The unidentified boy was one of three boys who fell in, but the only one who didn’t make it out.  Rescuers formed a human chain to pull the teen out but he slipped under the ice and drowned.
