Bob Dylan has lent his unique voice to an album of wedding songs for same-sex nuptials.

The 76-year-old singer-songwriter covered 1929’s “She’s Funny That Way,” a standard previously recorded by Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. Dylan’s version, though, is titled, “He’s Funny That Way.”

“I’m not much to look at/ Nothing to see/ Just glad I’m living, lucky to be,” Dylan croons. “I got a man, crazy for me/He’s funny that way.” (Ironically, late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia reportedly sang Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin’” once to voice his upset after the legalization of same-sex marriage.)

Producer Rob Kaplan told told The New York Times Dylan not only gave him an enthusiastic ’yes,’ he even suggested the song.

Available on iTunes and Spotify, Universal Love also features songs by Kesha, Valerie June, and Kele Okereke, the out lead singer of Bloc Party. St Vincent performs “And Then She Kissed Me,” a gender-swap version of the Crystals’ “Then He Kissed Me,” while Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard offers “And I Love Him,” a twist on the Beatles’ classic “And I Love Her.”

“If you look at the history of pop music, love songs have predominantly come from one heterosexual perspective,” co-producer Tom Murphy said. “If we view music as something that brings people together, shouldn’t these popular songs be open to everyone?”

Universal Love was released today by MGM Resorts International, which estimates 20%-30% of the weddings performed at its hotels are for same-sex couples. “We believe projects like this will help all of us reach a point where seeing the world through the lens of people who happen to be different from us becomes natural and commonplace,” said MGM Resorts’ chief diversity officer, Phyllis James. “It is an immense honor… to spearhead this inspirational project which celebrates LGBTQ dimensions of the universal emotion of love.”
