Blair St. Clair is no longer sitting on the secret of her debut single and music video.

Following her elimination in this week’s episode, the young RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 queen has released “Now or Never,” a self-empowerment anthem about taking control of your own destiny.

“This is a song about living in the black and white haze of my past experiences and emotions and the road I’ve chosen in taking flight to find the color in the beauty of life’s reality,” Blair writes on Instagram.

“You have the power to take negative situations, emotions, and feelings and make them something beautiful.”

In the video, directed by Brad Hammer and Shawn Adeli, Blair plays a midcentury housewife who kicks her hooch habit and abusive husband (underwear model Max Emerson, naturally) to the curb. After a near-death experience on a Blair St. Air flight—hey, Jinkx Monsoon and Manila Luzon!—she has a technicolor Pleasantville breakthrough.

“I’ve come undone but now I’ve pulled myself together,” she sings. “And I’m breaking free to fly because it’s now or never.”

The song’s lyrics and video were inspired by Blair’s powerful revelation on the Drag Race runway that she had been sexually assaulted prior to entering the competition.

“I never thought it was something I’d bring up,” the 22-year-old Indiana native tells EW. “That day, I don’t really remember talking because it came from the heart and not from anywhere else.”

Category Is: Hats Incredible! Well I Do Declare! This whole journey that we all call “Drag Race” can be summed up in a few words: humbling, gratifying, and life changing. Thank you for all of the love and support I’ve received, and thank you for giving me the platform to share my story and offer a glimpse of my life. It’s because of the negative experiences I’ve faced in life today that have made me the strong, resilient, and loving man that I am and the poised and polished entertainer I’ve been able to create. Drag Race looks glamorous from the outside, but just like me- a person inside from the world you see- Drag Race is so much more than the fame and beauty. RuPaul’s Drag Race is only the beginning to my life, a Renaissance in my humanity, and I have finally began to LIVE my life today. Life is a choice, and I’ve finally learned that it’s my responsibility to choose happiness, and ultimately, to love. There’s an endless amount of thanks to be given to countless people that make @rupaulsdragrace happen at @wowreport on @vh1 @rupaulofficial @michellevisage @carsonkressley @helloross @mcbrewster @newwavechola @reinahill and SO many others and to my amazing parents, my INCREDIBLE boyfriend @i_am_blaze_ and his family (which has become my new family), and to all of my friends (@theneongrande @theonlytitanium @therealonyaknees @missidakay @soberbutamess @davidgarrett_ @kcbeyonce @dragcentricdeb @iambrooklynheights @iyanadeschanel @heatherbeaindy @patyoweave317 Xoxo Blair Photo: @davidgarrett_ Edits: @blairst.clair Hat: @blairst.clair Jewelry: @patience_eau_claire
